RHCSA (Red Hat Certified System Administrator) is basically a entry level certification which covers the core & fundamental concepts of Linux administrator. It is prerequisite for most of the redhat certifications.

An IT professional who has earned the Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA®) is able to perform the core system administration skills required in Red Hat Enterprise Linux environments. The credential is earned after successfully passing the Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) Exam (EX200). If you lack prior knowledge of the Linux system, I recommend beginning with a solid understanding of its fundamental concepts and diligently practicing each concept. Failing to practice these concepts regularly may make it challenging to pass the exam on your first attempt.

The Exam is of 300 Marks out of which the passing criteria is 70% i.e 210/300.

You will have to interact with a proctor via chat only during the initial minutes of the exam. You will be required to display the room where you are taking the exam.

Exam Infrastructure:

So Basically, there will be two new virtual machines which will be given for RHCSA Exam Paper. All perform in your virtual machine. Your exam code is EX200 (node 1 and node 2 machine).

After Login to the base machine, you will be able to see Activities on base machine in which information regarding (Exam Start) the exam is given. There is also an icon on the activities which is VM View, by clicking which you will be able to access your virtual machine. DO NOT change the physical machine root password. you can login it as a limited user.

There will be a Important Configuration Information hyperlink floating right in the firefox window. It will also contain some configuration credentials like the ip address, root password, etc with the help of which you will be able to access your node. Simply click on it and read all the instructions before you move forward solving all the questions.

Major Topics which comes in RHCSA Exam are:

Linux Configuration

File & User management

Security

Containers

Storage and etc.

There are some tips / advice from my side which you need to keep in mind to clear this RHCSA Examination:

Preparation: Practicing is essential for success in RedHat certification exams, particularly since they are performance-based. Thoroughly practice each concept, as it will not only help you master the material but also expose you to different types of errors, allowing you to enhance your knowledge and problem-solving skills.

Time Management: The RHCSA exam has a duration of 3 hours, making efficient time management crucial. After completing the exam, you’ll have extra time for reviewing your answers and making corrections if necessary. It’s advisable to tackle the questions in the order provided, as RedHat exams often feature interdependent questions that can benefit from a sequential approach.
